Have you created vision boards according to personal development gurus and you try to visualize what you want, but still, you are not achieving the results you want?
This is exactly what is happening to most people out there. They have fun finding pictures of what they want and then make a vision board from those pictures.
They see the things that they want each day on the board and they even try to envision themselves living the ideal life that they desire.
However, after a couple of months down the road, nothing happens.
They are not living the life they dream about. They are not reaching their goals. And they only make little progress to hit their targets.
Does this sound familiar?
If this is what is happening to you, continue to read on because you are about to discover the 7 major reasons why your vision board is not working for you.
First, you have to understand that a vision board is a just a tool to help you better visualize what you want. Second, the board with the images of what you desire also serve as a good reminder of what you want to achieve in your life.
You can make many vision boards, but if you are not PAYING ATTENTION to what you want, you will never materialize them.
This is why the 15 Minutes Manifestation works. It helps you focus on what you want for just 15 minutes a day.
Here are the 7 major reasons:
1. Their desire is not strong enough
Like I said, you can create a lot of vision boards, but if those things are not what you truly desire to achieve, no matter how many vision boards you make, you are not going to achieve them.
You see your friend bought a new luxury car and you make it your target to buy a new car too.
You see your colleagues traveled and enjoyed her holidays in Paris and took a nice picture of her in front of the Eiffel Tower, and you decided that you want to do that as well.
You see someone earns a 6-figure income per month from the internet and you are tempted to stop what you’re doing and wanted to do what that person does too.
Do these sound familiar?
You see, we constantly compare ourselves with others. And whenever we see someone who be/do/have something that we think is better than what we be/do/have, we want it too.
Thus, you have to examine your desire. You have to identify what you truly want before you can manifest it.
Do you know that your vision boards can be full of things that NOT what you truly desire? It may be what you think you should want to have.
2. They don’t believe they can achieve it
Do you sincerely believe that you can achieve what you want?
A lot of people have the goal of making a million-dollar. But the problem is that when they set the figure as their target, deep down, they don’t believe that they can achieve it.
If you don’t truly believe that you are able to achieve what you want, there is no way you can accomplish it.
Will you buy a lottery ticket if you don’t believe that you stand a chance to win?
No, you won’t. You buy the lottery ticket because you BELIEVE that you stand a chance to hit the jackpot.
If you have no idea how your beliefs can affect your subconscious thinking, watch this video right now. You will understand better why you fail to achieve what you want in life.
3. They put in only half-hearted effort
Most people thought that as long as they think about what they want, they don’t have to take much action.
WRONG!
If you don’t take action, it means that you don’t believe that you can achieve what you want.
Think about it. If you truly believe that you can be successful in any business you venture into, will you take action and start whatever business you had in mind?
Of course, you do. You will do your best to start whatever business because you believe in yourself that you are going to build a successful business.
Your lack of action only shows that you don’t really believe in your dreams.
When you don’t believe that you are lucky enough to win the lottery, you will never bother if you buy a ticket or not, right?
Hence, if you put in half-hearted action, subconsciously, you don’t really believe that you can achieve what you desire.
4. They don’t feel good about it
You may not notice it, but sometimes, you don’t feel good about the things that you want.
Yes, on the surface you may seem to want to achieve great success in life. But in a deeper, subconscious level, you don’t really want it.
Take building a successful business and achieving financial freedom as an example. This is what the majority of us want.
The problem is that we know that if we want to build a successful business, we need to work hard for it and we must sacrifice our leisure time.
Sometimes, we will even have to let go of our sweet family time and sacrifice our sleep time just to work longer hours to achieve our business targets.
And these are thoughts that cause confusion in our subconscious mind. We want to be successful, but at the same time, we want to have time to play and enjoy too.
As explained by Eddie Sergey from 15 Minutes Manifestation, our subconscious can produce the things that we want, but it can also produce things that we don’t want.
In other words, you create confusions in your subconscious mind:
- You want financial freedom, but don’t want to work that hard.
- You want to be successful in whatever project you pursue, but what if you fail?
- You want success, but you worry you can’t cope with the new situation.
- You want to lose weight, but you worry others may laugh at you if your workout plan doesn’t work.
This is why you must learn how to properly manage your feelings in order to manifest what you want.
And this is also why your vision boards are not working for you.
5. They want it immediately
When you look at your vision boards, you visualize the things that you want and you see yourself living your ideal life.
But then after that, you get back to “reality”. Things are not changing immediately and you are still where you are right now.
The problem with most people is that they don’t have the patience and determination. They want what they desire immediately.
When things are not coming their way fast enough, they think that something must be wrong and then they started to doubt themselves.
They started to lose interest and their beliefs are shaken. And eventually, they give up, quit, or change their goals and dreams.
Never let this happen to you. Have faith and have the patience for what you want.
If what you do is correct, the results will come.
I suggest you follow this short daily manifestation plan. It is a great addition to making your vision boards work.
6. They don’t envision what they want
Another major reason why most people fail with their vision boards is that they don’t envision what they want.
They have fun created their vision boards. They feel motivated when they do that.
However, that’s all that they do. They don’t make time to visualize what they want according to their vision boards.
After they have completed their vision board, that’s it. They put it there on the table. Their boards sit there collecting dust.
They don’t review their goals and their dreams. They don’t take time to envision and see themselves living their dream life.
You have to understand that your vision board is just a tool that helps you better visualize what you want. It is not something that you create for once.
Some people make their vision board for the sake of making it.
Therefore, spend a couple of minutes a day to envision the things that you want. Your vision boards are created for this reason.
If you have no idea how to visualize the success you want, follow the plan from 15 Minutes Manifestation.
7. They switch goals and targets too quickly
So what happens if you fail to reach your goals?
Switch. Change a goal. Aim for another thing. Start another new project.
This is what most people will choose to do when they fail to reach their goals or fail to produce the results that they want.
Unfortunately, this is also why vision boards and manifestation do not work for most.
Like I said above, it takes time to manifest what you want. And you must have the patience to wait for it and the determination to work for it.
Imagine you are in a restaurant and you order chicken chop from the waiter. And so the waiter keys in your order. After 15 minutes went by, you change your mind and ask the waiter to change your order from chicken chop to fish and chips.
After another 10 minutes of waiting, you decided to eat spaghetti and not the fish and chips you just ordered.
So the waiter goes into the kitchen and keeps changing the order. Before the chef manages to cook your dish, you switch again.
This is exactly what is happening to most people out there.
They see something that they want. They “order” it and put the picture on their vision board. But then, after a few weeks, they don’t feel like they want it anymore. And thus, they switch their mind and focus on something else instead.
Do you get it?
You need attention and focus in order to make your vision boards work for you.
If you are not paying attention to what you want and you keep changing the things that you desire, you make your subconscious mind confuse.
Have clarity, my friend.
Conclusion
Vision board is just a tool that helps you in manifesting what you want in life. If it is not working for you, you need to re-examine and reflect on yourself. Think of the 7 major reasons above and see if you violate any of them.

This is total BS. The real reason vision boards don’t work (and actually hurt people) is here: https://www.inc.com/amy-morin/science-says-your-vision-board-actually-decreases-chances-of-living-your-dreams-heres-what-to-do-instead.html
Trust a psychologist, not some internet hack who says he can help you accomplish ANYTHING in 90 days. People like this are just scammers.
Hey, thank you for leaving your comment here.
First, it is not that whether vision boards work or don’t, it’s the person who practices visualization that determines if he is going to work on his goals/dreams/desire. There are plenty of real life examples who used vision boards and successfully achieved what they wanted.
Just like Jim Carrey said, you can’t just visualize and then go eat sandwich. You need to put in the work. A vision board is just like a reminder for what you want to achieve. They create the cue in your mind for what you want. Just like goal setting.
Second, I’ve learned about the study from the article you shared. There are 2 ways to visualize something, one is to visualize the end result, and another is to visualize the process. Studies have discovered the visualizing the process is much more effective.
Just like if you are earning $3,000 a month and you visualize yourself owning a Lambo, your mind will think that’s BS. And when you don’t believe it is possible, you will never put in the hard work.
But when you visualize the process, when you see yourself working your way there until the moment you own the Lambo, you are inspired to take action and to work on the goal.
That’s how visualization and vision boards work.
So, do you think vision boards don’t work? I don’t think so.
