Maybe you don’t like your job, maybe you are dealing with a lot of stress and are having problems at home, or maybe it is just one of those days where you just feel like death warmed over. The end result is you have a serious lack of motivation, and it is starting to seep into how you look at your work.

Well, there are countless ways to get your motivation back up and running at work, and this article is going to share a few of them here for you…

1. Pat Yourself On The Back

Sometimes all we need is a “good job” or a “great work” whenever we really give 100% of our all at a project, and we often don’t get that at work.

Often our reward for success in the workplace is simply having to do more work, and our superiors and bosses don’t talk to us unless the work has a problem with it.

It can get tough having your work only talked about whenever it needs to be fixed while all the great work you do goes unnoticed, but there is a solution for this – you need to congratulate yourself.

Most of the time we don’t have the best self-talk for ourselves, and this can contribute to a lot of things, including a lack of motivation.

The best thing that you can do to combat this is to start incorporating positive self-talk into your routine, and that can start with congratulating yourself whenever you do amazing work! Give yourself a pat on the pack and make sure you recognize the work you do, even if no one else does.

2. Work With Teams

Sometimes it can be very hard to feel seen if you are working alone, and sometimes you can feel alone even if you are in a big company or working on a team project.

In order to keep yourself motivated, make sure to work with teams and foster a community around your business, and don’t be afraid to get to know your team members.

They will be with you whenever you are struggling and your motivation starts to dip because you are all working on the same project together and they will root for you to get it finished.

Additionally, if you are working with teams at a brewery, for instance, don’t forget about having an optimal workflow.

This is going to help your teams succeed and your brewery grows in terms of sales. If you and your teams can manage logistics using a website like Ollie, then you will find a lot of motivation because the process is so easy!

3. Do Something Unexpected And Shake Up Your Routine

Eventually, even if you are working at your dream job and making the world a better place, you will find yourself getting bored. The work won’t be as fun, the exotic will become mundane, and you might even find yourself dreaming of greener pastures.

This can be a massive blow to your motivation because routines take all the fun and surprise out of life, and it can lead to a lot of problems for your mental health.

However, the best way to deal with a boring routine is to shake it up and do something unexpected. It can be as simple as going to a new place for breakfast, talking to a new person on the ride to work, or even tackling a side project that will challenge a new area of your brain.

Shaking up your daily routine can seem very scary, but it’s that fear that will overcome the boredom you have about your life.

Once you go into a new routine for a while and keep shaking things up, you will find that the world seems a little less boring and you have more to look forward to in your life.

Plus, facing the fear of life outside your routine can help you face other fears too, and that can do a lot for your life.

4. Look At The Big Picture

Make sure to look at the big picture. It can be hard to get excited about your work if you don’t see how it fits into the larger picture of both the company and the audience who is encountering it.

So if you can, see how your efforts at work affect the company, the organization, and the community.

Knowing that your work helped others or got your company a new client, or was even seen and shared can be a massive benefit for you and can help motivate you to produce even more work.

Not everything you do is going to change the world, but even the smallest changes can have the largest impact on your motivation.

Know the impact that your work provided and you’ll find a lot of motivation to work with! Additionally, don’t be afraid to share your knowledge with your team as well, and show them what their work is doing and how important it is.

That is often the push that a team needs to get back into a group project if their motivation is starting to slag.

5. Know When You Need To Recharge

Finally, it can be easy to just keep on boosting our motivation and pushing through any low points, and sometimes that is the right thing to do.

However, sometimes a massive lack of motivation can be a signal that you need to rest and take a break because sometimes motivation can come back once we’ve taken care of the rest of our needs.

So make sure you are eating, drinking, sleeping, and exercising enough, and you will find that your motivation will easily come back after a few days of being healthy and taking it very easy for a while.

Just know that it is okay not to have the motivation to do things or complete work every once in a while. As much as the world focuses on being 100% on all the time and having nothing but the motivation, that just won’t happen all the time.

So, know that taking a break is going to be needed from time to time, and don’t get upset at yourself if you need to take a break and refuel for motivation. It will come back!
