Hey, Happy New Year!
How’s your 2016? Well, whether it’s good or bad, it’s over now. It’s a brand new year ahead and we should focus on what’s coming.
When it comes to setting goals, there is no better time to do it now.
However, I must say that you don’t have to wait for a new year to set your goals. In fact, you can set goals and achieve them anytime you want.
It is just that most people treat the new year as a new beginning, and most people are more motivated for what’s coming in the new year.
You can set goals any day you want. Actually, every day is a new day and every day can be a new beginning; it all depends on how you look at it.
But right now, we’re just moving into a new year. And I believe that you’ll be excited for what lies ahead. So let’s make 2017 a great year.
Review Your Previous Year
If you want to lose weight, the first thing you need to do is to weigh yourself. And this is what you must do if you want to improve and get better in 2017.
First, review your previous year. What have you accomplished in 2016? What goals have you achieved and where are the areas that you need more improvement?
Don’t just think about it, instead, get a pen and paper, and write down all the thoughts that come to you. It’s called journaling.
When you put your thoughts into paper, you make them more real and you will never miss out any detail.
This is your life and you want to know where you are right now. So review your year and write down what has happened in 2016 in short summary version.
Plan For The New Year
This is where it gets exciting. All you need to do is to imagine the perfect 2017 you want to have. And then write down your resolutions.

If you want me to summarize the whole process, I will say that you must:
– Write down your goals
– Make them as specific and measurable
– Make sure they are actionable or something you can perform
– Practice daily goal setting
– Visualize and act as if you have achieved the goals every day
– Practice the big-5 strategy by taking 5 action steps each day
– Learn and improve your strategy through the results you get
These are what you need to do to achieve your goals. As simple as that, no fluff.
It is all about identifying what you truly want to achieve and then take action to accomplish it.
Most people fail because they don’t stick to their plan long enough. They set goals in January and they give up in February.
And you must make sure you stick to your schedule and take action consistently. Practice daily goal setting so that you will program your goals into your mind. Furthermore, it will remind you of your goals every single day.
Never lose sight of your goals. Whatever that is out of sight, will be out of your mind. So keep your eyes on your goals.
Feel Excited And Look Forward To The Good Side
Whatever happens in 2017, never lose faith and never lose hope on your goals. Keep on reminding yourself the purpose why you want to achieve your goals.
Your reasons are the fuel that will drive you to achieve them. If your goals are not exciting or motivating, it is because your reasons are not strong enough.
When your reasons and your purpose are strong, you will feel motivated and be more committed to reaching your goals.
And remember, you must always feel excited and look forward to what’s coming. When you are feeling excited, you will have the energy to take action.
Think about it, what makes you wake up early in the morning? If you don’t have something to look forward to, you will never want to wake up. You will choose to sleep more and continue on sleeping.
When you have something to look forward to, you will feel the excitement and you will want to wake up to do it. It makes it easier for you to get up and take action.
So make your goals exciting. Imagine that you have accomplished them and act as if you have already achieved them.
Finally, Enjoy The New Year
Make this new year the best year of your life. Enjoy it to the fullest and at the same time, work hard to achieve all the goals that you have set.
Happy New Year,
